#ActOnClimate emerged as a social media action after the announcement of the Climate Action Plan in 2014.  Athletes and industry partners of Protect Our Winters mobilized on social media, sharing photographs of themselves enjoying the outdoors, celebrating the announcement of the Climate Action Plan and showing what is at stake if climate change is not acted on.  These posts used the hashtag #ActOnClimate change to urge people to engage with the issues surrounding global climate change.   

Hot Planet Cool Athletes is an in-school assembly program that utilizes multi-media and professional athletes to teach teenagers about climate science and why they should care.  The 45 minute assembly aims to educate teens on climate change and climate science and empower the next generation of environmental leaders.  By bringing professional athletes into schools to talk about their experiences in the outdoors and climate science in personal and engaging ways, teens can learn about what is at stake with climate change.
