Outcomes
Since the establishment of World Refugee Day in 2001 each year more communities are participating to raise awareness with hopes to find strategies to support refugees in their struggle and limit the number of forced migrants. The response to the action is difficult to measure as it is a worldwide petition. However, in recent years the “issue” of resettling refugees has risen to the top of international affairs agenda. Proof to the increased awareness of the needs of refugees is shown through the influx of news articles published and the social media outcry.
