March for Women’s Lives

The March for Women’s Lives was a march in Washington, D.C. that was first and foremost a march for women’s rights, and they particularly marched in support of abortion rights. The demonstration was on the National Mall and was attended by between 500,000 and 1.15 million people. It was put on by a number of groups, including Planned Parenthood, NOW, Black Women’s Health Imperative, Feminist Majority, NARAL, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, and the ACLU. The event, which consisted of both a rally and a march, was non-violent and was attended by many celebrities.
