Refugee Solidarity Protests - March 2018
The Refugee Solidarity Protests on March 17, 2018 were in response to the upcoming International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The protests took place across 15 countries, with leftists, anti-fascists, solidarity activists and refugees all coming together to protest the rising sense of racism and anti-refugee sentiment that was sweeping across Europe.
#TimesUp: The Black Dress Protest at the 75th Golden Globes Awards
During the 75th Golden Globes Awards, many individuals wore black in solidarity of the Times Up movement that transpired in wake of the viral #MeToo movement. This became known as the black dress protest. The Times Up movement serves as a “next step” to the #MeToo movement where people, no matter their race, gender, or socioeconomic background, come together to create action-oriented goals that allow for meaningful change to occur, in regards to ending harassment for women in the workplace.
Non Una Di Meno
Non Una Di Meno, meaning Not One More, is a feminist grassroots collective started in 2015 after 22 year-old Sara Di Pietrantonio was burnt to death by her ex-boyfriend. The group was modeled after Ni Una Menos, the feminist movement started in Argentina earlier that year.

On November 26th, 2016, a demonstration was held in Rome by the members of Non Una Di Meno. It fell purposefully on the day after the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Several groups joined them, such as Io Decido (I decide), a pro-choice group, “D.i.Re.” Donne in Rete (Women’s Network), a network of organizations against gender violence across Italy. The group of over 100,000 people marched through the streets of Rome, from Piazza Esedra to Piazza San Giovanni.
The Fight for $15
Underwritten by the Service Employees International Union, the Fight for $15 is composed of fast-food workers, home health aides, child care teachers, airport workers, adjunct professors, retail employees—and, as Fight for 15 puts its, “underpaid workers everywhere.”

Created in direct response to the dramatic rise of science denial around the world, this movement aims to counter "alternative facts" by informing the public with unbiased, reproducible, and truthful data.

Inside-Outside Alliance is a group based in Durham, NC that supports prisoners’ struggles on the inside and participates in struggles on the outside against our system of injustice that includes police, prisons, courts and immigration laws — the revolving door of incarceration.
