These two hurricanes were some of the most severe in decades - thus, it is important that we acknowledge how climate change is contributing to the problem. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can stop losing thousands of lives to these storms.
Response to action
The repressing institution responded by first demanding that the protesters leave - the protesters refused. After a while, the senators acknowledged that they would give more thought to the role that fossil fuels play in these large storms.
Outcomes
There were no hard-defined outcomes, but the organization believes that the senator and his staff are now considering more renewable-energy-friendly policies to mitigate the effects of these tropical storms.
