About

A group of survivors from both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey, which both occurred last fall, occupied the office of Senator Mitch McConnell on capitol hill. They wanted the senator to acknowledge that fossil fuel consumption has contributed to making tropical storms much worse over the past decade. Members of his staff were quite insistent that the protesters leave - however, they stood steadfast in their demands.

Goals

They demanded three things from the senator:

1. 100% renewable energy for all,

2. No new fossil fuel projects, and

3. A just and equitable recovery.
